Presenting a Product
Description:
Students watch a short video in the target language that advertises the release of a new car model. Students pair up to discuss the video for two minutes and then students then get one chance to record an audio version of the advertisement extolling the value of the car as a product. Students listen to the recording for self-evaluation and then do a second recording for review and collection by the instructor.
Follow-Up Activities: Students can listen to a partner’s presentation, and write down a transcript or summary of the content. They can also give feedback on language use, based on a rubric provided by the instructor or developed in cooperation with the instructor.
Modifications:
This could also be done as a video recording through any type of video recording software.
