Plan a Trip
Description:
Online, students research a location/country in which the target language (TL) is used, in order to develop an ideal trip itinerary in that location. The instructor might provide suggest resources to utilize in research. Students are then are paired up in SANS to discuss their ideal itineraries, and negotiate to develop one shared trip itinerary.
Modifications:
Instructor introduces constraints (budget, timing, etc). Students are asked to research different locations, and are paired up in order to inform their partner about what they’ve learned about their assigned location.
Follow-Up Activities:
Students record (audio/video) a description of their trip, or an advert for the trip (playing the role of a travel agent/tour director).
