Music Review
Description:
Instructor selects and plays a popular music video from the target language. Students develop an oral or written review of the video (or the musician, genre, or album) based on research conducted in the target language.
Modifications:
Students are grouped to conduct research in the target language into musicians, songs, and/or genres. This information can be used to develop short audio presentations, video presentations (in the form of music reviews), write-ups, student-led research into symbols and significance of the song (references to cultural artifacts, locations, events, etc.), provide opportunities for students to engage in research, and share findings with partners.
