Interesting Cities Blog
Description:
Students are given a list of less notable cities in a country of origin for their targetĀ language. After spending time researching the city to find interesting facts, sites, activities and tourist information, the students may record an audio blog about the city individually, or in groups of two or three using the SANS Soloist software. Once the recordings are made, students listen to the recording and decide if they would like to keep it to post to their blog or attempt a second recording. Once students are satisfied with their recording, they post it to a blog site like WordPress or Digication. Students are also asked to collect pictures or images to help enhance the audio blog they are posting.
The instructor may provide a list of sites that will help the studentsĀ research the particular city for which they are creating the audio blog. This list may be shared through the SANS software, Collab, or on the main screen in the Language Lab.
Modifications:
Students may be asked to make a transcription of their audio to post to the blog site.
