Join us for an interactive hands-on workshop and discover the basic principles of creating an effective podcast.  Create audio using various microphones and recording equipment, as well as edit audio with the free audio editing software Audacity.  Learn how to create compelling podcasts, complete with voice-overs, sound effects, interviews and music.  No previous knowledge or experience required. Note:  This workshop will be held in a computer lab environment and will not require faculty to bring a laptop to participate.

Free Tech Tools: Friday, March 31st  1pm-3pm  New Cabell 398

Do you want to make a short video, but don’t know what software to use?  Want to learn a tool to edit photos or create quick graphics?  Want to do a screen capture of your computer screen?  Or do you just want to learn some free tools?  This workshop will provide a brief overview of image editor, video editor and screen capture tools.  All tools covered in this workshop are free and easy to learn. No previous knowledge of photo or video editing required.  Note: Faculty are encouraged to bring their own laptops to follow along and interact with the programs during the tool demonstration.  We will have a limited number of laptops available for use during this session, and will be available on a first come, first serve basis.  Most of the applications covered during this session will be online based and will not require anything to be downloaded to your computer.
